what next? ???

Ok heres the deal im starting my research on the stangs next power boost, i feel ive just about maxed out the potentail for a N/a 302 block with out spending big dollor prices on parts...as of right now im looking at three roads, 1) supercharging 2) 347 stroker 3) turbo

i was hoping to get input on what way to go, what i will need that i don't have to support them, what kinda power and times u feel i could run, also the pros and cons of each application. My budget is about 3k.

Thanx in advance for the info, Ryan

Blower or turbo. Your heads and intake are too small for a 302 so they are surely going to choke a 347. You would need to make a cam change for a 347 as well. You could put all of those parts on a 347 but it wouldn't make much more (if any more) horsepower than your 302 is making. It would make more torque but it would be out of steam at a low rpm and similar built 302s would be driving around you. 302 parts make 302 horsepower.

a street car with some bite is what im going for...

i like the blower idiea, but what kinda supporting mods would i need that i don't have right now ? what numbers can i make safly on a 100k seasoned block? what brands do you recomend?

As for the 347 route i know that i won't make the numbers i could with the forced induction but if i were to go to some nicer heads and a custome cam where would u say i could get to as far as power. I like this idea beceause of the fact i would over haul the bottom end in the process.

Imput ?

if i were you....i would freshen up the bottom end...maybe buy some lower compression pistons, sell your n20 kit, buy an used SC wiht 10-15 lbs of boost (im not an expert on the trims, etc), 42 lb injectors, 255lph fuel pump, and a dyno tune so then you dont have to change your MAF and you will make good power

with 3K and what you have and the fact that you seem to want boost you could safely run a Paxton 1000 kit with 6-8 psi.when you build a stronger motor you could change up pulleys for more boost.sell the nitrous kit to add funds.get it dyno tuned and have fun with it!your 30# inj should work good you may need a 255 fuel pump.

You are limited to about 500hp no matter what route you go. The block is the weak link. It won't matter if you keep the lower end stock or stroke it, 500hp is about what it is safe for.

A 347 with better head, cam and intake would make a boat load more power than what you currently have but you won't be able to do it with your $3000 budget. If you do some shopping around for some used heads you might be able to do it. I figure your current heads and intake you could probably turn for $800-$1000 so that gives you about $3800-$4000 to work with.

1500-1700 for a v1 s-trim or a v2 s-trim
80 give or take for a 90mm 03 cobra or lightning maf
150+ if you go used for some 42lb injectors
350-400 tune
250 chip

Call it a day. Get a kit with a power pipe... not that washer/dryer flex pipe bs. Also a metal bypass valve, those bosh's get old and you'll have air going back and hitting the blower.
