twisted wedge
I am getting my tax refund back soon and looking at some cylinder heads
I am looking at the twisted wedge heads but there are so many choices Combustion Chamber Volume (cc)61, 65, 64, 70, 58 CNC Machined Combustion ChamberYes, No Intake Runner Volume (cc)206cc, 225cc, 170cc, 205cc, 185cc, 192cc Exhaust Runner Volume (cc)66cc, 92cc, 95cc, 100cc, 87cc CNC Machined Intake Runner No, Yes Filter OptionsIn Stock any opinions and any one know how much hp I will get by bolting to a stock engine. I also want to add adjustable 1.7:1 roller rockers because the stock ones look like they warp easy. so do I need the pedistal mount or what? Im looking at you Darrell

The R-series heads come 206cc and 225cc intake runners. The Twisted Wedge heads come 170cc, 185cc and 205cc. On a stock engine 170cc heads will be your best bet. You won't need a CNC head unless you plan on making some real horsepower with it and plan on spending more money on parts to compliment the heads. Get the smallest chamber size so you can keep your compression around 9:1. Get the stud mount versions and some stud mount roller rockers.

I would like to reach 10:1 compression. would I have to have the engine block milled or could I take the heads to a shop and get them milled?
I plan on getting a camshaft and mabey a upper and lower intake and thats as far as it will go. still thinking about ditching the efi and going carb. It looks so much easier to work with w/o a huge upper intake in the way and all the wires. and computers. it seems like 90% of the time you have a problem its electrical. thats why I cant get on the highway in the summer time. ignition module will cut out and I had to push the car under a bridge for shade. I replaced it and same thing. damn computers.

You can have the heads milled. I would keep the EFI, but its your car so do what you want. Don't say I didn't warn you. An ignition module cutting out is defective. If the new module you put in did the same thing, chances are you elected to go the cheap route and bought a low budget brand part. If you did buy it from Ford then big deal, take the thing back and get a new one. These are sensitive parts that some times get disturbed during shipping.
