Going longtube soon....anyone hear about/used these?

I saw these on ebay and thought they looked good on paper, I have used OBX in the past but on imports and the quality was there. Just wanted to know your guys thoughts on them.....seemed like a nice set of headers in stainless. Wonder which H-pipe would mate up to it nicely.
Direct Link while auction is active:
OBX Header 86-93 Ford Mustang GT V8 5.0L long Tube:eBay Motors (item 400049200755 end time May-18-09 17:05:00 PDT)

Stats about them:
OBX Racing Sports Header

1986-93 Mustang GT 5.0L V8
1-5/8'' primary tubes
3'' collector
Long-Tube
Brand new and still sealed in box. Includes all hardware necessary for the install. Also comes with a lifetime warranty from manufacturer defects. Dyno proven to increase horsepower

Dyno tested and proven

Direct bolt-on without modification

T-304 stainless steel mandrel bend for ultra fast flow

CNC machine flanges with TIG and MIG welded construction

Utilizes factory 02 sensor position

Lifetime warranty from manufacturer defects.

Any info would be appreciated....dont want to spend the money and have fitment issues. Also if not these which are you running and how was the fit and function?

the only thing i am wondering is about the oval ports on these headers.....might not be actual picture of the mustang headers used but i could have swore my shortie headers and stock heads have square ports. Could be wrong havnt looked in a while.

Never heard of them but they look pretty solid. Nice thick flanges.

found this review:I have a set on my 93lx for about 9 months now. Only two issues with them. The drivers side O2 bung faces at an up angle and just clears the bottom of my TKO 600 trans. The spread between the collector where it meets the mid pipes is narrow. I had to pry them apart and bolt up the mid pipes, but they worked. The header plate that mounts to the engine is thick. I bought some 3/8 X 1 stainless steel socket head bolts to mount them. The gaskets they send with them are very good.

think i might try em when i get my next bonus.....if i do ill post pics and let you know how i made out. still gotta find which h pipe will mate up maybe ill just make one

Now I know this isn't the same part but... I just installed a OBX race header on my buddies EP3 and the fitment was horrible. There was about a 2.5"-3.25" gap between the collector and his mid-pipe. He too bought his off some "Store" on Ebay. Not my favorite but I guess maybe these will be different... GL

I have the smaller runner BBK's, and for me they fit like shit... I haven't installed a pair yet but I've heard good things about the KOOKS long tubes. When I'm ready to switch I'll probably go with those...

I have a set of MAC 1.750" long tubes with the 2.5" collector. This is my second set of them, I can't complain. Like most larger primary long tubes, they are a bit of a pain in the ass to install, but once you have installed a few sets of them, they don't seem to bad any more. I guess you know how to attack a set after while and it's no big deal. I remember the first set of MAC headers I installed. What a pain in my ass that was. They won't go in from the top. Jacked the car up to the moon, wouldn't go in from the bottom. Well now what? I had pulled the engine half way up out of the car and put them in place as I lowered the drive line back in the K-member. Now it ain't no big thing for me. I know what I have to do to get them in there. If you never installed a set of large primary long tubes in a fox with a stock k-member, be prepared to curse your tail feathers off. And be sure to post a thread and tell us all about it.

Kooks are to much sugar for a dime if you ask me.

I have never been around a set of BBK long tubes, so I have no opinion of them. I have heard of alot of people say good things about them.

i believe the picture is a set of longtubes from another car because on OBX'x website they do not have a picture up for the mustang....but if you look at their shorty headers they are square ports for the mustang so i am sure they would put square ports on their longies as well

obx parts aren't exactly quality...

I would just spend the extra money for some macs or bbks

i would put painted summit long tubes on before those.

i have an obx longtube on my 240 i had to cut it apart and extend it because it ran straight into my floorboard and reweld the o2 bung because the sensor pointed rigt into the steering shaft...but the flange is nice and thick

I'd go with bbk or mac also. Good quality, thick flange. I've had bbk on my car for about 3 years now no problems with them at all just a pain to install.
