which cam would be great for a 1500 to 6500rpm range

im looking into trickflow heads/intake manny

im looking at the TF trackheat intake manny, and their TW aluminum heads so i was wondering what cam would be my best bet for a power range of 1,500 to 6,500rpms

and going from all motor to turbo would the all motor cam have any negative effects on a boosted motor?

Depends on the rest of the combination. I would seriously consider spending the extra $60 and have a custom cam ground.

A turbo engine needs a different cam than a naturally aspirated engine.

use an f cam from ford, alot of people use it till they get to a 1,000 HP. its a really good turbo cam and you can get one for like 75 bucks

Ford Racing cams and good shouldn't be used in the same sentence.

hmmmm ive also heard mixed things about ford racing cams...they sound pretty generic to me,

the custom grind cams sound like the best bet!

A mustang with a turbo runs good with a stock cam. It would probably run great with a custom. Chicken or Steak.

A cam for a N/A motor will be shit on a turbo set up if you know the difference. However if you have never tested different cams and different set ups you wouldn't know the difference between an e cam in a turbo car and a custom grind because you have nothing to compare it to. Now if youre experienced or at least knowledgeable about turboed cars, you will know that you will not get a good cam that will make you power from 1500 all the way to 6500. to get the most out of your turbo you will want something a bit more mid rpm ranged.

Can you show me some back to back track times or even dyno numbers? I would like to see some real life proof where the F cam makes more power or runs faster.

It wasn't a comparison, he never said it made more power than another cam, he said he sees people making plenty of power with the F cam. That doesn't mean they wouldn't make more average power with a "better" cam.

If I scrape my cam on the ground a few times, is it considered a custom grind?

Depends. If you only scraped 3/4 of it would it be a "custom grind 3/4 cam"?
