Engine swap

Alright was thinking about picking up a rebuilt and bored .030 over 350... was wondering what i would have to do from start to finish that would be extra. What i mean by this is will the stock alternator etc. be able to run on the 350... or will i have to fabricate and purchase new items. Lmk thanks. Also any links to engine swap threads/sites would be appreciated.

haha yea i know.. chevy in a ford but i found one pretty cheap. Don't worry will prbably end up doing a 351w swap but for now the 350 is in mind. I just want to know what ill have to buy to get everything set up correctly... or can i just bolt in the new engine with minor parts replacement and be fine?

How about some more details? Sounds like a useless swap to me. A stock 5 liter HO will out run most Chevy 350s.

Don't get me wrong.. if it flies, it flies, regardless of whats making it do so, but I don't think a basic 350 swap is worth it.

Like Dar.. 1 slow 5.0 said.. it can be outrun by a 302 motor which you can pick up for $400 at a junkyard.

i know this- im thinking ahead... so that way if its an easy swap with only minor parts to be bought when i see a cheap rebuilt 351w i can jump on it. Otherwise im just doing the normal things.. tune up, exhaust, gt40 heads and headers, maybe a stereo and rims/tires if needed. but any suggestions as to order to do these things in etc. lmk. Or better ideas on some hp increasing parts lmk.

351 ftw. don't waste ur time on a 350 chev. but like you said, for now you can build up the 302 a little and get some pep.

Idk I'd rather have a fresh rebuilt 351 instead of a 347.
