weird problem after tranny swap

here's my problem, i had the aod and decided to do go with a t5, after doing all the procedures, everything came out pretty good except for third gear being bad, but i don't care about that the problem is... i start my car once, starts up good, if i shut if off it won't start it'll crank all day but won't start, if i let it sit for a while about 20 min or more it'll start, that started happening after the tranny swap.. does it have something to do with that or not, and the other thing is that when it won't start, i pop the hood , disconnect 1 fuel injector and crank it, and the car starts right up, i plug it back in and drive off.
thanks !!

I dont know for sure but someone was talking about this swap the other day and there is somthing about a switch that has to be bypassed for it to start correctly

I am guessing its the computer....there is a neutral safety switch or something that needs to be programmed out or jumped or something....or just get the other ecu

look at a manual trans car wiring diagram. neutral safety switch must be in place for it to start

car starts perfect the first time, the neutral safety switch es good, car won't start if i don't press the clutch in, so the switches are good , i'm thinking or i'm guessing my injectors are not shutting of or , they're spraying too much when the pump turns on because it seems to my like if it was a carburated car cause it looks like it floods out , or if i give the throttle pedal some kicks when it's cranking it'll start it's really pissing me off i haven't even drove my car the last few days cause it pisses me off to have to pop the hood in the middle of the street to unplug a injector so it'll start, the other day this fag with a z28 camaro pulled up next to me in the gas station and started talking shit, so i told let's quit the BS and go race... my car wouldn't start, dude said call me when you get that piece of sh... to start... pissed me off !!! of course i got my car to start , looked for the fag and smoked his hoopdy and got his chicks number ..!!! lol

Maybe check fuel pressure? I've heard(don't quote me on this) that if the FPR goes bad then that will cause the injectors to leak/stay open.... Now i'm not sure if this is true or not just throwing it out there... I did an AOD to 5-spd swap myself but I bought the FRPP mass air convirsion at the same time, maybe that is why I had no issues? Get it running, and use a stethoscope, or long screw driver. Touch it to the metal body of all the injectors, and put your ear to it. they should all tick, close to the same noise level, if you cant hear one that well, its not functioning properly.

Scan for codes and post up what you find if anything. Did you change the oxygen sensor wiring harness when you did the swap? If not, you probably have a damaged computer that is causing the problem. Scan for codes first and we will go from there.

Another thing you can try is pulling the vacuum line off the fuel pressure regulator and check to see if there is any fuel in the vacuum line. If the diaphram in the regulator is ruptured it will allow fuel to be sucked out via the vacuum line into the engine after the engine is turned off causing a flooding issue. It still doesn't make sense that it is doing this after the tranny swap but it is something to check.

car is still backfiring even after i played around with the timing and on that injector problem, still can't figure it out, haven't scanned it yet though , i'm picking up a 5speed computer today , just to see what it does , and the o2 sensor wiring , i'll swap that out and see what happens

something else i noticed on my car is that when i'm driving , i'll step on the gas and it'll speed up pretty quick and then sometimes it feels like if i got a turbo or something , cause when it reaches some rpms or something it feels like it goes faster or, it feels like when i had the little 75 shot on nitrous , all that comes after a loud series of poping out the exhaust lol

Don't put that computer in until you can answer everything in my last post. If you have the wrong oxygen sensor harness in the car it will damage the computer and any new computer you put in. Check those things out that I mentioned.
