Back to EFI

I put a carb on my car back when i put the new engine in because lack of money, now that I can save a little more ive been wanting to put it back to efi. Does this list sound about right for everything i need?
fuel injectors, rails, pump and regulator
maf sensor
distributor
ignition coil
throttle cable
tb and egr
intake elbow
possibly new wiring harness

I also was wondering would it be a good idea to put a fuel sump on the tank? When i put the new motor in i also switched from a aod to a 5 spd, is there any differences between the aod and 5 spd computer? What would be a good fuel system to go with? The engine is a 347 with afr 185 heads, lunati 51018 cam 11 to 1 compression. Also i have 3/8th braided steel line running from the tank to carb right now, will that be big enough?

Thanks for the help

I would assume that you're definately going to need a harness, I was under the assumption that the computers for 5-spd and AOD's were different but, I guess their not, so you'r original computer should work.

As for the computer ( if you not wanting to get a 5 speed computer ), just bypass the reverse lockout and be aware that you will NOT have a rev limiter...

True. Not having a factory rev limiter isnt a neg in some cases tho. But just somthing to pay attention to.

Your list seems complete.

I would suggest a walbro pump and good efi regulator for a big cube motor.

The auto computers don't have a rev limiter? I learn something new every day.

I have also read a few times, a few places, that Auto computers have no rev limiter.

I don't know, that is why I was asking. I never heard that before so if it is true, I learned something new. I have a book on the EEC and its evolution. I should read it some day...

I've been using a 6al for my rev limiter so thats covered. What size injectors do you guys think ill need, im thinking maybe 36lb? Has anyone had the machine work done to turn a carb intake into a fuel injected intake? Will the fuel line im currently using be big enough (I think its 3/8th)?

Is the intake like a super victor with injector bosses?

You could tap holes for the injector bases, but it may be at a terrible angle for fuel delivery..

On the subject of rev limiters. When my car was n/a I always reved to 6k say in nuetral not driving in gear. Never hit the limiter... and with the blower idk if I have one either. Can that be controlled with a chip and tune?

After looking into the intake a little more I think ill end up going with a trickflow or edlebrock victor intake. It's just money right lol.
