Ive been looking around for a decent fox body, and came across this. Does theis seem like a decent deal? Is any year better than the other? I do a want fuel injection car. Any opinions appreciated.

looks ok from the pictures, not too bad on the price. The only thing about 87-89 (except calis 89) it has speed density "no mass air" so its harder to add proformance stuff, but its easy to put mass air on so not really a big deal. other than that looks nice.

87-88 cars were speed density. 88 California cars were mass air. The speed density cars are the fastest stock fox bodies.

Even if you find a speed density car, it's easy to convert to maf setup.

2400 doesn't seem bad, but I do you see your in denver, so check for rust on the rear fender well lip, and the back sub frame under the rear seat.

I've had a 98 cobra, but my 93 lx is very fun

Rust is not much of an issue. But looks good to me.

As long as there's no rust I'd say it seams pretty decent... especially if you're in the market for a fox.

Don't they hate mods? Isn't that why they're always converted to mas?

They don't "hate" mods. Just when you get into putting a cam in, they act up. But not with all cams.

Yes, Ford Racing has MAF conversion kit, Ford Racing Performance Parts [M-9000-A51*] , but if it comes with stock 55mm MAF then i don't think it's worth it. Is there any other company selling kit with bigger MAF? If not, then i'd think its better to piece it together your self with aftermarket 75mm

You don't need to worry about mass air until you touch the cam.. there are sd friendly cams out there but they are very mild and one would think if your going through the process of installing a cam you wouldn't pic a very mute on so i'd not worry about doing the maf conversion until it's needed unless you want a slightly better idle if yours is a little rough.

The conversion is simple, do a search many people have step by step write ups and you can go to a junk yard and cut the connector off another car to use just add your own wiring.
