head swap question?

When I get the GT-40 heads will the factory exhaust manifolds work or do I have to get some headers?

the stock ones don't work but if you search around, you will find some shorties that will fit both stock-type heads and the gt40's. This is a nice feature to have as if you ever decide to upgrade heads again, you can still use the same headers

Yes and no. I have seen guys get away with stock headers on P heads. I think they used a different spark plug though. I know they did something like that to make them work.

So are these
GT-40's or GT-40P's?

The 40 fit stock everything
The 40P's only for P headers.

i think bbk longtubes will work with the p's

p's basicly have a differnt plug angle, usually end up right where the tube is so you'd never get a wire on there.
