New guy, checking in.

Hi.

My name is Jay, I'm from the outskirts of Detroit. I just bought my first Mustang. It's a 1987 LX convertible, with a (blown up) 5.0 transplanted where the 2.3 usta be, a 5 speed and a 3.08 geared 8.8 with Traction-Lok.

Like I said, it's my first Mustang, I used to be the Anti 5.0 guy... I have a Duster and have had alot of other Chryslers. Almost all of my buds in High School (graduated 1993) had a Fox body of one sort of another, so I guess it rubbed off on me, finally.

Be patient with me, I'm gonna ask alot of questions!

I to am a Mopar man and always snubbed 5.0s but pound for pound outta the box stock they pull nice and lets face it you can get a pretty good fox body for the price of a rusty project car Dodge. I live in Ontario with lots of salt and snow and rusty 74-76 slant 6 dusters are sold for 4 and 5grand and I refuse to pay that so now I have a 85 gt that I enjoy and parts are abundant and cheap!!!!!Still would take a 64 Plymouth Fury with a 440 4 speed.!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I kinda got sticker shock when I helped my neighbor with his Capri last summer, stuff I have to spend big $$$ for (headers, etc.) are comparatively cheap!

Now, once the 'vert's done (gotta please the Mrs.) I'm thinking "notch".

The Duster will never get finished!
