If you want to make that HP, those heads prolly arnt gonna cut it. Porting them will prolly fall short too. I'd sell the heads, and get somthing more aggressive.

Performer rpms are ment for a mild 351 or 302 setup.
If you want to go 11s and desperately want to use those heads. Use your 302 block and stroke it to a 347, have those heads gasket matched and ported, custom cam, long tubes and lots of gear to push you down the 1/4

You want a 408? Just so you know, low 11s can be done with a 302/347. A 408 is not necessary for the ET goals you have but it certainly isn't going to hurt anything. You need to figure out a dollar amount that you can spend on this project. If you don't do some planning you will end up with an unfinished project like 65% of the rest of the people in this country that run out of money because they had no plan. You can make 600hp with a pump gas 408 and it will drive around town nicely. Don't forget about the other things you are going to need like a roll cage, aftermarket axle shafts, c-clip eliminators, aftermarket differential or spool, fuel system, transmission, torque converter or clutch, rims, tires, upper and lower control arms, springs, shocks, struts, etc. This will easily be a $10,000 project if you buy all new parts.

i have a built c4, rear end is down with a good posi 31 spline exles enxtended lugsand c clip elminators , i already have a 8pt bar with subframes and reinforced torque boxes, upper and lower control arms i have 90/10 50/50.s have m/t drag radials on the car..just basically need a motor setup and a fuel system... i think everything else i have will be able to take the abuse from the motor...

You have enough right there to run mid 10s.
