Will this mass air work on my 93 5.0?

I asked for a part number so im waiting on that from the seller. I thought that ford meters arent calibrated for injectors? I had thought that it was the computer not the meter when it comes to fords. Am I wrong? Im going to get a cheap used 80mm for now until I can get one from ford anderson. Not sure about this meter working on my 93 5.0 auto. Ebay item number 360157902507

It's the computer in the car that will need the help. It won't know what the hell hit it if you throw that on it.

Why don't you just buy a good mass air meter rather than trying to piece together second hand junk? You can make it work, no question there but I'm a fan of doing things correctly the first time.

im tight on cash right now but dont want to give up working on the car. Im starting a business and im putting all my money into that. So until I can start getting money back from the business, I have little to put into the car money wise. But will It work as a plug and go or will the computer need to be changed?

It all depends on if the voltage/flow values given by the meter match the voltage tables in your computer. Verry close is ok. but Its hard to tell. If that meter came out of a stock ford vehicle, then you have about a 20:1 chance it will work fine.

it will cost you 475 for the chip and tune on your computer to get it to work. plus the plug adaptor on to the maf.

i have a 76mm c&l ill sell ya for 100.00 its set up for 30# imjectors but with a new flow tube that run about 20 bucks you can set it up for any size injector you need.

Ya ill PM you after I think about it some. What exactly is different about the C&l verses a regular mass air? Is all the tuning done in the sample tube? I dont get how it works exactly. Can i switch tubes to different sizes and it will work fine or would i need a chip or something? Elaborate please.

the tube just changes the meter inside the housing of the maf....all you do is change the tube and change injectors.....but its the same as any other meter in that if you go larger than 30 pounders your gonna have to do some tuning

so will those sampling tubes work in any meter then, or just c&l meters? If i were to get the one that im looking at on ebay could I just change tubes for future upgrades with injectors?
