Took out the hatch stuff and rear seat

I thought Id share the news with modded mustangs too. I took all the stuff out, including rear seat. I want to put thin grey carpet in, the kind they use for subwoofer boxes. well see if that happens..

I did this just to free up some weight, I can easily put it back in. But now I want to relocate the battery to the hatch, I think the spare tire area, but maybe the right rear over the tire. What you think?

Was going to post a pic via attachement but the file size is too big I guess, Im too lazy to post to photobucket first. If you must see a pic just chime in.

+1 over the tire, and then you could fill in the spare tire

I guess I am just uninformed, but what are the benefits of moving the battery?

I say Ixnay-on the dampening material.... It's really not that loud, and if you have a stereo it's no big deal, the worst thing will be driving over gravel and hearing every last peble hit under the car.

relocating the batt. help's with transfering the weight to the rear, as thats 25-30lb's off the nose of the car.

it also put's weight over the rear tire's that will help plant them harder.

btw, just to be sure you know, because you have a hatch you need to have a sealed batt. box or you could not pass tech at the track.

Also wanted to note that relocation also helps lessen nose dive, so Im hearing.
