might sell the fox...

i know im going to get all sorts of shit for this post but ive been thinking of some things lately and i might sell the fox and use the money made to use as a down payment on either a s197 or a mach 1. im just at the point that i don't know if i want to throw anymore money at the fox just to keep it running and i kinda want something a little more reliable...

Im not a fan of the s197 style. If I bought anything it would be a 99-04 4v with a s/c

A new Mustang is going to cost you a monthly payment AND it will eventually need parts and money as well. Get a $1000-1500 second car (which in this economy can buy a decent DD). A cheap 4cly beater Like an Escort/Cavalier/Neon etc will be cheaper on insurance, the tires will cost less and probably get much better gas mileage, and you won't have a car payment and a lot of extra money in your pocket to put towards your Fox and you'll have two cars

If you're just getting bored with the fox, selling it would make sense.

too many people get easily disheartened about their foxes. Yes they are old and have problems. If you want something reliable get something newer it might be wise. Its all a matter of whether you like saying you have a mustang or like saying you have a fox. Me, I wouldn't trade the money pit for any other mustang.

Ever driven an early cobra or mach 1?

Set of 4.30 gears will welcome you to the world of NA modular power.

A mach 1, 99-01 cobra, and even a good running 96-98 cobra with steep steep gears and full bolt ons can dive into the low 12's on motor.

My buddy has an 01 with an strim on 11psi and that thing is BADDDD

yup.

My 98 went 13.2x with just a set of 4.30 gears, o/r h and flowmasters.

And sounded fucking awesome doing it.
