How much does a decent pair with oh say 120k miles on them no work just pulled straight off the block go for whats a good price

Not sure of your question? Are you asking what a GT-40 intake would be worth?......Tubular $300-500, Explorer $100-250, Cobra $200-400

If your pulling heads of a junkyard car, no telling WHY it's in the junkyard.
I would swing them by the local machine shop to check them out or just be a hard ass and slap them on and raise hell.

which gt40 heads are the ones that will match up with a stock exhaust and are a direct bolt on

At minimum they will need to be resurfaced, new valve seals, new valve springs and a valve job.

Non P heads. The Explorer GT40 heads have 65cc chambers which is about 4ccs more than the other stock 5 liter heads. Just something to keep in mind. They can be milled to get the compression back up though.

so the gt40 cobra cylinder heads dont really net much gains unless milled ?

The Explorer GT40 heads need to be milled to keep the compression at 9:1. The Cobra GT40 heads have the same size chambers as the E7 heads so there is no issue there. There is about a 20hp gain with GT40 heads.

i think i will hold off on the cam/intake and just try to get some twisted wedge heads because i dont want to regret settling for gt40's
what all will i need for install other than fel-pro gaskets and the bolts
