call up a few cam companies and tell them your setup. They should tell you a sping that will work well.

E303 cam: FRP A50 Springs and B50 Retainers, surface, valve job, and convert to stud mount.

But IMO, buy the time you're done paying for this you will be telling yourself you should have gone with an aftermarket head and better cam.

By the time you spend the money to make these correct, you could buy a set of Twist Wedges.

If you are getting springs, valves, retainers, seals, locks, shims, rocker studs, cleaning, valve job, decking, and stud conversion for that price.....more power to you. Have you seriously priced all of this?

There is no way you are going to get everything done that needs to be done to those heads for $250-$300. That will cover the parts and that is about it. To do it right you will have that plus an additional $250 - $300 in labor.

I'm weird about stuff like this. I have no problem buying an Explorer engine with 100,000 miles and running it but if I buy a set of 100,000 mile heads, I won't use them until they are rebuilt. They are off the engine, it only makes sense to rebuild them and to do it correctly.
