GT40p's


Just picked up a set from my local junkyard for 100 bucks for the set! What should i have done to them before i install?

At minimum they will need to be resurfaced, new valve seals, new valve springs and a valve job.

and to be honest i did actually copy and paste that from one of darrells posts.....i mean 1slo5.0

well i actually plan on launching it. my 13.13 run was coming off the line at an idle, so next time i plan on taking it to about 3k. I'm running on a 4cylinder tranny so breaking it on the line is my fear.

No. If you are going to pay for porting on top of all of the other stuff these heads will need, you might as well buy some good aluminum heads.

Gasket match the ports yourself and get the Trickflow spring kit and you'll be good.....

At minimum. I'd probably toss in some new retainers and valve locks right away.
