forged bottom end?
i've heard of certain fox bodies having a forged bottom end from factory? If this is true can anyone give me the exact years.

i'm almost positive it was 87-92

the block was cast iron but the pistons were forged.

pistons and rods forged but crank wasnt....93 had hypereutectic pistons....and im sure thats not spelled right

I did not realize that the rods were forged too. is it a 4130 forgeing or what?
Also why can stock engines only take 150 shot of nitrous or so? My 351W with stock rods we were going to spray a 250 shot to it... but now its got forged in there and I wont think twice witha forged flat top, forged H beam, and stock crank with a 300 shot...

shit i know a few guys with 5.0's with stock bottom ends spraying 200-225 shot and it runs great

the pistons are the only forged item in them the rods and crank are the same they have always been... the pistons have the e7ze part number on the top of them..
