Vacuum leak?.....

Whats up fellas, i need ur guys help again.I recently had to remove my upper and lower intake. when i was putting it all back, i layed a thick bead of gasketmaker on the front and rear of the block, then i layed the lower intake on. After i was done with the job, i could hear a small vacuum leak, but couldnt find it, even with carb cleaner. i could tell it was around the PCV area. and now theres a puddle of oil leaking at the rear of the block were it meets the intake. Do u guys think thats where my vacuum leak is and is that leak enough to make my car idle like crap?

Yep, that is your vacuum leak. The pcv draws from the lifter valley. If you don't have a good seal there you will have a vacuum leak.

Not Sure If This Might Help B/c I Am New To Mustang Motor Building Myself, However, I Used Both Felpro Gaskets And Rtv Gasket Maker And It Sealed The Crap Out Of It. Give That A Shot. Seemed To Work Well For Me. If Anyone Thinks This May Be A Bad Deal Then Please Let Me Know. Like I Said, Im New To This Myself.

I use nothing but permatex gasket maker... thick bead around everything and have never had a problem with this except when I have to yank the lower for what ever reasons..

Not sure if you got your leak fixed yet (hopefully you did), however, I agree with 1slo5.0, the pcv leak will def cause a major leak. thought mine was secure and when i took it for a test drive thru my neighborhood the damn thing blew out and oil was spurting all over my windshield (didn't have hood on). truth be told, it was freakin hilarious. not hard to fix tho. good luck....

I Agree Most Likeley The Pcv Leaking.however There Is All Those Tiny Brittle Ass Mini Vacume Lines That Break Any Time You Breath On Them Too.that Can Also Cause Vacume Leakage
