Anyone familiar with holley carbs can answer this question?

My 86 5 liter has a holley 1850-S carb on it (manual choke and vaccum secondary) and the secondaries are definately not opening under heavy throttle or full throttle with load on the engine (Ie while driving in high gear and you get on the gas).

The carb is mechanically sound, and the linkage is not binding or anything that I could tell while moving the throttle. The secondaries when you open them manually they dont want to move easily and the diaphram makes a noise like a plunger.

I took a look at the manual for the carb (http://www.holley.com/data/Products/...199R7948-5.pdf ) and they dont even mention any possibility of the secondaries not opening.

Does anyone have any idea what I should do to make the secondaries open like they are supposed to? I even took the carb off to see if there was any kind of buildup or something preventing them from opening but it looked clean.

Never mind I figured it out. The vaccum secondaries rubber diaphram is definately bad and got another ordered and coming tomorrow.
