i picked up a shortblock and its sitting at buddies place next to the car. my friend jon is also checking into getting the headers bead blasted if it will fit. also got my axles back since the bracket for the brakes werent put on before the bearings. also found out my 00gt rims wont fit because of the 5\8 studs. its alright since they are going on my gf's car for her winter rims. this just means im going to put her waffle rims on my car and just drill the backs out slightly and "massage" them over the larger wheel studs. they will be fine to roll the car around on. so i still got some work ahead of me with just getting the car back on the ground. oh yea i gotta cut a coil out of the rear spring still.

got the uppers attached and the front wheels swapped to the waffle rims. almost on the ground

Forgive me if this was already asked or you already said it but what are wanting to do with the car? Is it going to be a weekend cruiser/show car or a drag car?
If it is going to be a weekend cruiser/show car why not paint the bottom of the car before installing all those parts so it looks good under there?

you know thats a damn good question but i have no idea haha. it wont be a show car. strip/street car. i want a stock motor 12 sec car before i decide to go with a bigger engine

I just got done ready this whole thread and it looks like its coming along nicely. When is it going to the chassis shop? Are you smoothing the trunk for the fuel cell? Had any luck taking care of any of that cancer yet?

its getting a chromoly front end so yea the cancer will be fixed on the front end but i still have to work on around the wheels.
its also getting thru the floor subframe connectors, torque boxes reinforced, a chromoly steering column and an anti-roll bar welded in

I saw that rearend pic and there were no toque box reinforcements I was going to be like uhhh, you forgot something. Looking good man, can't wait to see it after the fab shop.
