first off the header name, caught my attention, and i like it. second, wow, im a noob at this, so im paying alot of attention. i too like the way you are doing things. im a nood at mustangs but far from one with older cars and hot rods and customs. a huge bad azz motor is nice untill you have to turn or stop. you are definately doing things the smart way. i hope people pay attention to that. lookin purdy and not performing aint all its cracked up to be. man everyday i get on this site, i learn something. I LOVE IT.

guys its official i am selling my crank. it was one of my secrets to help me get in the 12's.
its a 255 3in stroke crank. its lighter than your avg run of the mill 302 crank. lighter crank means the engine would accelerate faster. there has been a lot of factory stock racers use these cranks and spin'em to 7k.
im asking what i have into it

is it worth it to have the axles and gears lightened?

I wasn't aware you could do that, unless you mean just buying light weight parts? Like instead of a steel spool run an aluminum spool? But I've never heard of having the parts lightened before..... I've heard of "knife edging" a crank? lol
