I don't think there is any weight limit. I think they have more torsional strength than a solid axle shaft. Kind of like the reason driveshafts are hollow. They are lighter than a solid axle obviously. I've used gun drilled axles in a couple of cars and drove them on the street with no issues.

anyone got any guesses for what my car will weigh?

Kinda hard to weed threw the thread to remember everything your doing.I know its easy to get my SN under 3,000 so il guess 2700 +/-

took the parts to my buddies garage today. tomorrow the car should be going over there as well. so the car will start its tear down VERY SOON

5/8 stud kit, strange aluminum rear end girdle, chromoly rear end pinion yoke, trans mount, 5 gallon fuel cell and some fuel lines on the way
