Coil Springs
From the day I bought my car new in 88 my 5.0 mustang has always squatted lower in the rear, I've lived with it all these years but want to do something about it finally. I want to keep it stock looking and don't want to put lowering springs. I would like to improve the ride quality rather than performance (yeah I know I must be getting old) It's always rode rough and would prefer a smoother ride if it's possible.
Over the years I have looked at aftermarket coil springs but like I said I'm not wanting to lower the car, it needs to be raised a inch or so to match the front. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks |

Thanks for the link, I have never heard of Moog, how long they been around?
I see they make a constant rate and variable rate, which would give the better ride?

" Moog offers two types of coil springs: constant-rate springs that restore handling to its original state, and cargo-coil, variable-rate springs as an upgrade for vehicles that carry heavy loads.
Moog constant-rate springs are built to replace original equipment springs, returning ride height and body sway to original performance levels. Replacing worn coil springs with Moog constant-rate springs restores vehicle handling. Moog cargo-coil, variable-rate springs change resistance as they compress and become progressively stiffer as the load increases. These springs are vinyl-coated for corrosion resistance and extended service life. " a variable rate spring will give you a more smoother ride and everything listed on summit for eibach is high priced and only offers a drap spring or a lowering spring, neither or which he is intrested in from what ive read
