what size slick on stock pony rim?

as title says, I will be runnign stock pony rims outback shot in goodyear slicks. why choose goodyear?-i work at a goodyear shop so i get a deal on em, simple as that. Car weighs approx 3200lbs, will see 3.73 gears and maybe a super/turbo down the road, for now has 250ish HP. reccomend me a tire that will fit in my stock suspension and not rub anywhere, as long as hook great at the track and has decent life.

i said only good year. I cant get deals on MT's. and im an amateur so i probably wont even notcie a difference between the two, choose one from goodyear only please.

i knwo tire sizes, but drag radials have different grip and wear ratings, and im nto familiar with them. how big can I run without running into problems?

I seen you said Goodyear only but Goodyear doesn't offer a tire that will fit that rim. You need a 26x8.5 slick or maybe as big as a 275/50-15 drag radial but that is pushing it. You are going to need a big discount to justify using over priced Goodyears anyway. Just for example, a 28x9-15 Goodyear is $200 and a 28x9-15 M/T is $170.

I over looked the Pony wheel part. I don't think Goodyear makes a 16" slick. They do make a 255/50-16 DOT approved tire. Either way, you are probably going to be better off with a Mickey Thompson tire. Sorry to burst your bubble but just because you work at Goodyear doesn't mean you are going to get the best deal or get the best tire.
