Tokico or KYB

79-93 KYB REAR SHOCK, MUSTANG ALL MUSTANG
$39.99 each

OR

87-93 TOKICO HP SERIES REAR SHOCK FOR 5.0L MUSTANG MUSTANG
$44.99 each

Not looking for drag shocks, or adjustable whatevers. I just want something that's going to let the car drive better than the 16 year old ones on there now.

I have a buddy who has Bilstein's on his minitruck. I know that's pretty fucking far from my Mustang, but he likes them. A bit on the expensive side though.

I've got Tokicos on the wife's 94 GT with the Bullitt springs and really like them. Just picked up a set of KYBs for my sister's 94 SHO and still working on getting them installed (rear spindle is being difficult). I know it's not a stang, but it's still a strut---I'll post back after the install and test drives.

I have the kyb shocks... I've had them on for about 500 miles. I love the, so much better then the stockers that were fucked. Warning though, they raised my car up quite a bit.

You could get something for $12 that would give you a huge improvement over the worn stock ones.
I replaced the stock ones on my 91 many years ago with some Monroe Sensa-trak's. They are not cool or flashy but they ride and handle good for the price. They may be a little to soft for some people though, they start soft and then tighten up as compressed.

Monroe SEnsa-tracs have gone way up since youve bought them then.. I just bought a set and paid 65 a piece for the front ones and 30 a piece for the rears....

Oh... I did my shocks in about 95 and my struts in 98
I guess I'd have to recompare the options if I was doing it again.

[QUOTE=Iwannagofast;2146264]hmmmmm[/QUOTE

it would be plain stupid to do something cheap/different......the product is about 94048 times better for like $10 more
