rebuild problems

So I had all of my machine work done and got my block back today and tried to put the main bearings in for the crank and the rear main thrus bearing does not fit. The kit is a sealed power and the bearing is .025 to narrow to fit has anyone else had this problem.

This should be the first sign to walk away and take this engine to a professional.

Don't take that the wrong way... You had a problem, and you found the solution. If your confident, then keep moving on. Often this is a sign for othjers, that they should indeed leave it up to the professionals.

Installing the thrust bearing is about the easiest thing to rebuilding an engine. It only goes on one way and can only go on one specific main. If a thrust bearing had you stumped then you are in for alot more troubles. Either take the engine somewhere or get yourself a good book on rebuilding small block Ford engines or at least find someone that knows what they are doing to help you. This isn't something you can learn by trial and error. Errors turn engines into a pile of scrap. You need to understand what you are doing before you start doing it.

I'm not being a jerk, I'm being honest. You will know when I'm being a jerk, ask anyone on this site.

I don't know, I never wear anything like that. I wear the same clothes at work as I do when I go out on the town. Bibs are ghey.
