i just picked up an 87 bare 302 block i know the basics that i need but can someone please give me a parts list so i dont miss some of the stuff also are the any special parts i want to get so it will work with a 93 wiring harness?

how are you planning to build it? if you are planning building it pretty close to stock, it might be better to just find an already running complete engine for a few hundred bucks. there is a lot of little stuff and the costs add up real quick. if your aim is to use a lot of aftermarket or non stock parts, then disregard that statement.

well i can get the crank from autozone for 160 and summit has an internals kit that has all the bearings rods gaskets rings and oil pump ill just need a oil pump drive shaft and i think the harmonic balancer my buddy is giving me e7 heads for free and a dude at work is giving stock h.o. upper lower real cheap im gonna get the water pump alternator ac timing chain and cover exhaust manifolds and oil pain from salvage anything else im missing? im guessing about 500-700 depending on what i can find craigslist. its going in a 93 4 banger is there any difference in the 5.0 wiring harnesses between 87 and 93?

but could i get away with getting rods and pistons from junkyard motor? this is temporary its going 347 stroker when i can afford a stronger tranny than the 4 banger t5

I have a set of stock manifolds and a stock oil pan and a water pump.. ive got fuel rails and a bunch of other parts also... just pm me if you need anything specific.. and ill see what i can do to help you out.
