Are you using a stock guage? If so get an aftermarket guage asap. If you do get a new guage and it still reads 10 psi, yes thats a problem.

That first pic doesn't do the car justice, I like it, but thats me... +1 on a new color for wheels(if you have the cash I'd get them powdercoated not rattle can)

Just noticed your passenger door panel... did someone break into the car or...?

it has an aftermarket guage...does it matter if the line going to the oil pressure guage has oil AND air in it....or is it supposed to be all oil in the line???

No, it doesn't matter. When you shut the car off some of the oil drains back into the engine so there will be air in the line. 10lbs at idle is low. If this started after the oil change then I'm sure they dumped a bunch of Lucas additive or gear oil in to thicken the oil so the pressure would be higher when you test drove it. Time for a rebuild. As far as the rough running, did that start after you did the tune up or has been like that since you bought the car?

yeah im pretty sure it was gear oil...it smelled like gear oil...as far as the rough running it was like that when i bought it...like i said the motor and whole car shakes when the motor is under load....it stops when im coasting...so how much am i looking at for a rebuild???

Its probably got a dead cylinder. A rebuild will probably cost you $800+ in parts alone and another $1200 or so in labor. These a rough prices. You will have to call around for a quote to get an accurate price.

ok so i did a compression test on my car and got the following results...

cyl.1= 120
cyl.2=120
cyl.3=125
cyl.4=120
cyl.5=120
cyl.6= 0
cyl.7= 0
cyl.8=125

took the plugs out and found that all the plugs on the left bank look brand new...the plug on cyl. 5 is a brown rust color...the plugs on cyl. 6&7 are very black and smell like gas (fouled)...and cyl. 8 plug is covered in oil...but doesnt look fouled...my guess is i have valve train issues...but what do you guys think???

here go some pics..the plugs are in the order they were in inside the motor...

Number one Autolite 26s are way too hot of a plug to run in a supercharged car.

You need 23s most likely, 24s at the most. So now you know why you have a blown head gasket. Also looks like there is an oil control issue, but that could also be from the blown gasket. Probably wouldn't hurt to tighten the gap on the new plugs up to about 30 thou after you get done replacing the head gaskets.

low oil pressure could be from what ever other fluids have been mixing with the oil

may need a rebuild.

You have a blown head gasket or cracked head.

Compression test results and rust on the plug make it clear as day.

Throw the autolite 26s in there and you even know the cause of the blown head gasket.

Skip the MLS gaskets. You need to machine the block and heads to a very smooth RMA or you will have more leaks with the MLS.

The gasket you want is the fel-pro 9333pt1

it is the best gasket for boosted 302 motors dollar for dollar and will take some serious abuse, but still give before the pistons do.

That doesn't mean anything. You don't always have water in the oil with a blown head gasket.
