cam install problems
I just installed a steeda #19 cam in my combo but im having problems with the set up......
i have a nasty miss fire under load and no break petel at times( lack of vacum i think) and a bad idel (thinking its because of the miss) any ideas? Ps. i put it in dot to dot. thanks in advance.

Not being a dick, but did you put your plug wires bak in the right order.

Four things come to mind right away....retarded cam timing, retarded ignition timing, valve adjustment and/or wrong firing order.

Update..
i triple checked the plug wires and they all were in the right place. The timing i have set to 14 degrees base. i don't think that would be to low. i double checked the valve lash to day and that checked out. i have petelsal mounts so i have them all shimed as to not hang open any valves. As for the cam timing im 99.9% sure its dot to dot unless i was seeing things when i closed it up. now i was hoping for a few more sugestions before i second guess myself and tear off the timing cover ect.....

Its far off, but my car ran similar to that when I had a ocuple loose plugs, it just had no compression. I tightened them up and it was good to go.
