There was a lot of back and forth on 331/347, and DSS/CHP/Ford stoker motors(i think is the name)

no joke 347 will wear ring faster due to more stroke along with piston travel out of cyl and burn more oil, not as significant as it sounds but true.

FordStrokers.com 331-347-393-408-418-427 stroker kits and ford parts.

Have Woody put a 347 together for you. He can also set you up with a Camshaft Innovations custom cam, either hydraulic roller or solid roller.

a 302 0r 306 may last 250,000 miles, A stroked engine might get half that.

my guess on that is because normally the stroked engine is built so a 400 - 500 hp stock block isnt going to last as long as a 300 hp 302......

exactly stroked engine is going to may lots more power, not just the block issue rings and bearings as well. my original statement was 331 would last longer than a 347. 347 is almost maxed out for a stock block.

its the same bore as a 331 but a 347 just has a bigger stroke
