90 town car 5.0 mods

I have been driving a 5.0 Lincoln Town car for awhile, its comfortable, but it needs more power. Will most of the mustang parts fit on this car? I found this ad, what will work?

Thanks, i'm a 4.6 guy.

Nothing in that add will do you any good. None of it will work on your car.

Most of the 5.0 parts should work - IIRC, RWD Lincolns also ran the H.O. until '93 (I think) when they switched to the 32v.

I'm assuming that exhaust pieces will be different, but other than that, all the motor parts should work.

Anyone know elsewise?

That's not a towncar - that's a Mark. I think that year is even a fox chassis (Marks are based on Thunderbirds), so a lot of suspension parts should even swap.

It's a 16v mod motor starting 91.

Be careful which intake you put on that - it's not a Fox weight car - here is one guys experience along those lines............

I had a 90 Lincoln Mark VII LSC several years ago with some goodies on it. I never ran it at the track but it was fun as hell on the street. Very nice daily driver.

1990 TC build

Hey fellas, i know this is an old thread. But i was surfin google and came across one of the posts here. The one about makin a bad Towncar. Well this is exactly my intentions. However, i have one problem... im a chevy guy. I dont know $h1t about fords. I traded a POS honda civic for my 1990 Lincoln Towncar Signature. I have fallen in love with this car. I want to turn this into a muscle car. New motor, mags, some nice fat M/T's in the back, glassspacks, hood scoop... you get the picture. But like i said i don't know anything about fords. The 302 its got has some pep, but nowhere near what im lookin for. I am mulling a few ideas over, please let me know what is doable/practicle/affordable. 1-Boosting the 302 as mentioned in an earlier post. 2-swapping a 351W in from possibly an interceptor. 3- swapping a BBF in from something (need recomendations on this one) . 4- Ik you all are gonna hate this one... Dropping in a BBC w/ 5speed. I am open to any other ideas you might have. Thanks

P.S. I am trying to attach a pic, but it keeps saying it a failed upload. It is within size requirements...

Sign up for a photobucket.com account and upload your photo's there. Then you can copy and paste the image code on here. I'd just boost it and be done with it. All the same driveability you have now, with more power, and do all the simple bolt on's.

ok seeing as i am atowncar owner who incedently is making my car into a DD racer , you can do a lot with these things, first gears go with a K code 3.55 tracloc or 3.73. second upgrade some stuff like manifold, cam injectors, heads an HO from a stang, mark vii, or ford explorer will work, you just have to switch some stuff around, my current build up has BBK 1 5/8 shorties into stang down pipes, with turbo muffler, and a super warm air intake, im putting in a K code form a limo and limo springs, rear shocks are KYBgr2 police shocks, future plans are modded HO from a mark vii, gt40 explorer heads,gt40 explorer intake 65mm TB and lightning EGR spacer, comp cams XE258 part no 35-510-8 behive springs, hardend pushrods should make me the fastest towncar on the track.. that i know od anyway hehe anyway hope this helped.
