AOD Swap Help....

I am the proud new owner of a Lentech Strip Terminator AOD... Complete with SFI bell & transbrake... No more clutch!!! WooHooo!! I have been a manual guy my whole life.. Since I have done the 408 build I have been just itching to do the swap.. I knew I wanted to only have to buy one time so I decided to go with the unit that I bought. Now, I think I am gonna go with the Hurst Hammer Style Mustang console shifter unless someone has a good reason not to? I want to maintain the console look but of course not sacrifice the performance that I need. I have the tranny cooler, but I need some help on what else I need. Crossmember? Driveshaft yolk? Anything and everything else? Oh that reminds me I am running a Tremec 3550 now with the BBK ceramic longtubes. Since the Tremec is a much bigger unit in size than the T5 will these headers work with my new AOD? Anything else u freaks can think of that I might need let me know.. Thanks guys...

cross member might have to be moved back, thats just busting the spot welds and moving it.

Drive shaft, that one I am not sure. I know a t5,aod,c4 can use the same driveshaft.

cooler, lines and fittings are all you need to set that up

Unless you have a manual valvebody, is there really any performance to be gained or lost by the shifter in an automatic?

I would have 2 say yes on that. Maybe not on a tranny that is stock or just has a mild shift kit... Have you ever felt how sloppy a stock shifter is? Not 2 mention it not having a trustworthy reverse lockout. I'm sure it cant be good to smack it into reverse while shifting cuz the stock lock breaks..On a fully built tranny the shifts r lightning quick. Sloppy stock shifter, linkage, cable ect mean longer shift times means slower ET.. it all adds up ya know?

Did some research and the crossmember will work. I just happen 2 hve a brandy-new 1. The bushings r bad in the 1 that is in the car so I just bought a new member. It comes with the outer sleeves not welded so I am good there.. I got the part # 4 the yolk that I need. Its the 28slpine slip yolk. I already ordered the cooler. I need a flexplate & hardware. I need a block plate 4 an automatic that by the way I cant find, a little help here please? I gotta get a dipstick, I think thats it? Unless someone can think of somethin' else?... Thanx...
