egr valve... the vac line that runs from it to the round plastic thing on the pas side shock tower is the egr solenoid which you won't need if your disabling the egr system so yank it as well.

You gonna remove just the egr valve or are you gonna delete the egr spacer between the TB and Plenum? You can get a cover that will use the existing bolt holes and fill the gap so you don't have a vacuum leak.. You could just leave it on the car and unplug the vacuum to the egr valve so that it will not open.. It won't trigger your check engine light to come on, but will show code 33 in a diagnostic test..

get an EGR simulator and EGR delete plate. Looks much better.

FORD MUSTANG 87 88 89 90 EGR SPACER DELETE PLATE 90MM:eBay Motors (item 110410237502 end time Jul-13-09 03:33:44 PDT)

EGR ELIMINATOR SIMULATOR 1987-95 FORD MUSTANG 5.0:eBay Motors (item 300327326790 end time Jul-09-09 16:09:13 PDT)

Then remove the EGR junk and solenoid crap and 6 way plastic vacuum connector garbage.

If you don't get the plate, then you have to leave the spacer on there, which kind of makes the delete pointless.
