Emissions Question
I live in Vancouver,WA. I have a 1993 Mustang GT 5.0. I have Headers, Mac Pro-Chamber, and 3 inch from there back ( just bought the car this way). My question is this.....If I retard the timing , up the idle, and and get some (race fuel or alcohol) would I burn hot enough to pass? I don't have a lot of extra coin so I am trying to just get it through and registered till I can save up some coin to get the right parts. I already did a tune up, filters, cap & rotor...etc... Car runs great and no issues to report. Any ideas?

I know about the stuff you speak of....it's call Guaranteed to Pass... I have no cats on my car so I want to make sure that's all.

I will for sure update once I find out. I have a buddy with a 89GT. So I do have factory 4cat H-pipe to put on. I really don't want to. A real pain in the ass to put it on from your back. I guess I am seeking asurance it will work...Multiple people have told me it will ( two being ASE certified mechanics) Just iffy you know. Any advie is welcomed. Thanks

I guess it depends on what limits your car has too meet. Most areas have a visual so no cats is automatic failure. In my area the limits are low so it would be damn near impossible to pass without working cats.
Either way.. running "hot" and lean does not mean you will pass either. NOx readings are higher under those conditions. The EGR if still installed would help that.

There is no way your car will pass a SMOG test without cats if they measure CO2, NOX and unburned hydrocarbons.
With cats, I retarded the timing and added some methyl hydrate to an almost empty tank - passed barely where I am.

update....Sorry it's been awhile. I ended up borrowing a Stock-H-pipe. So I passed with flying colors. I was not convinced i would pass otherwise.
