Quick question.. Checking Valve to Piston clearence..

I'm getting ready to put some gt40ps on my 306 with a tfs1 cam and want to use the solid lifter approach to check ptv clearence...

Where can I pick up one of these solid lifters so I can play dough the motor when my heads come in?

You can convert your existing hydraulic lifter into a solid lifter, see here
Piston to valve clearance checking methods

Covert stock lifter and use a check spring while your checking for proper pushrod length.
