help need boost!


'89 gt s-trim vortech 480 whp 13 lbs. boost. i deleted my smog pump and pulley. i lost boost. what could be the cause vac. line, back pressure, air tube to heads. HELP?

could anything from the delete affect boost pressure?

did you replace the pulley with a delete pulley, or opt for a shorter belt?

I think you need to look elsewere for the problem. That shouldn't have an affect on your vortech pushing posative pressure into the motor.

btw whats your setup?

go back and recheck ur installation, make u conncected all ur lines. the delete shouldnt have affected ur supercharger

im guessin belt slip from using the wrong sized belt

Short belt shouldn't affect the blower either, they run off differn't pulleys.

well like stated before it runs off a completely different belt, besides that im pretty sure he could figure out the be slipping... like not making boost past a certain point and hearing a loud squeel, id check your lines and everything, im not really sure to be completely honest

i went with a shorter belt. there were only two vac. lines which i traced to the vac. block on pass. side fenderwell and plugged them. thanks for the replies. i will go over intake and vac. system. was just seeing if anyone could possibly avoid the madness.
