331 build

hey guys i havent been on recently due to the depressing fact that my car is broke latley and i have no money to work on it. Well great news came and i am receiving 6k over the next 6 months. I have plans and list of parts, trying to budget the money so that i can get a decent build all throughout my car.
Current Build
Head/cam/intake combo by edlebrock
Fuel press. reg
24lb injectors
74mm MAF calibrated to 24lb injectors
75mm TB and spacer
CAI
BBK shorty headers
off road h-pipe
smog delete
EGR delete
1.7 rockers

Stock trans
stock suspension
stock tires/wheels

Engine plans
331 stroker kit
around 10.5:1 compression
use of the topend kit and possibly same cam, depends on how far the money goes
high vol. oil pump
255lph fuel pump

Chassis/suspension
full sub frame connectors
8pt cage
50/50 shocks out back
70/30 struts up front
adjusable upper and lower control arms in rear

Trans/rear end
shift kit install
rebuild bands and clutch packs with HP kit
custom TQ converter
hardened axles

Im building a n/a motor. i knwo i wont get the most power, but i figure if i can build 400 with this build and hook up i will be well into the 11's. I dont want much more than 400 due to the strength of the stock block, i dont want to worry about it blowing. What do you guys think? am i real far off for a decent build all around?

Look at the thread 331 horsepower capability, might answer some questions...i made 318RWHP & 345RWTQ and ran 12.6 @ 111 on a baby launch, IF you can make 400 HP you should be well into the 11's, easy way to do that is a quick hit of nitrous...

yeah i read that i think i responded once, and i think that your numbers are a tad on the low side, right now i run a 13.4 @ 104 with a 2.2 60 foot and loose in second with my current build.. idk what your doing, but seems like you should be building higher numbers and running faster ET's. im staying n/a

if you might run outa money, do the top end you plan on running on the 331 to your lil 302 now, then when you get more money, buy a stroker shortblock from woody. That way you have a fast car now but itll be even faster with the 347 stroker kit your gona buy

302 parts make 302 power..........

But... those edelbrock heads will still run leaps and bounds over a stock head lol.

Rather small on a 331+ cubic inch motor.

Go 347, extra cubes help.

That combination sucks. You would be better off sticking the money into a set of good heads, cam and intake for your 302. It would be much faster than a 331 using the Edelbrock kit that you have now. Skip the high volume oil pump too. I'd also being doing a 347 if I was stroking it. The price is about the same.

im going with a 331 for that reason yes.. not just my friend, but lots of guys i have hurd. i dont wanna argue about it honestly, so if we could stay away from that repetitive bull that would be great. i would rather stay on the topic of how the build that "I" want to do sounds. if your just going to knock it idk why im on this forum. I am going to get Trick Flow twisted wedge heads for it, going to try and find a better intake if possible also.
