Here is what I would do....

Change the cam, change the intake, get a different mass air meter, full length headers and some good upper and lower control arms for the rear. If you have money left, get a tubular K-member and control arms, caster/camber plates and coil overs for the front.

I would also be eliminating some unneccessary weight such as front and rear bumper supports and door crash bars. Here is a list of what parts weigh how much.

Reinhold Racing - Mustang weight information

My daily driver has 16 cylinders and 4400hp @ 1000 rpm....

If you are going to get aftermarket axles, get 31 spline at least. I personally would do a 33 spline because it gives you room to grow.

You won't ever build a 347 if you are waiting for that engine to "go". 5 liters last a long time.

yeah im planning on doing all that except for the weight thing with bumper supports and door crash bars. im not making it a drag car but im still gonna take it to the track and stuff. i just want to put a mild cage in it and change up all of the suspinsion like you said and spray the engine thats in it because i dont have the money to do anything radical like a cam and a new upper and lower plenum and such.

if i get 31's i have to change the lsd unit correct me if im wrong and i will most likly rip out the engine when i get enough money ive built one 347 already along with a 427 small block and it aint cheap for what i want to do to them lol

Taking the bumper supports and crash braces out doesn't make it a drag car, it just removes 100 pounds of useless weight. You will never be able to tell the bumper supports were removed. The door bars are useless. If you take them out you will see why. They do nothing for protection. I'm thinking they are only there to meet government requirements because they are way too flimsy to do anything.

The cam and intake are killing that combo. Anything else you do to try to increase horsepower is not going to do much if anything at this point. You have a mid 12 second notchback with that set up where others with the same heads are running mid to high 11s.

Yes you will have to change the differential. You can either get an aftermarket piece or an 03-04 Cobra piece. I think you can also use your current differential with 03-04 Cobra spider gears too.

I'd have a custom cam ground for it. Any intake is better than what you have. Holley Systemax, Edelbrock Victor EFI, Trick Flow R-series, etc.
