I wouldn't call that working at all. That would be a good enough reason for me to never buy them again. People go high 12s and faster with stock heads.

ya ive heard good things about them, heard something awhile back about them cracking?? any idea if this was fixed? I ll keep them in mind for my next time, they dont have as good as flow as the afrs above .500 lift but they have 4 or 5% advantage on the lower lifts pretty much were it matters. whats ballpark cost of a pr?

What do you mean they don't flow like an AFR? Are you nuts? I guess it doesn't matter anyway because we don't race flow benches.

I've never seen a Canfield head crack. But every engine that I seen with AFR 185 heads has been a turd.....unless you would be happy with a 331 or 347 that runs mid 11s.....

Yeah, I know. Pathetic. There are also an equal amount of people that are happy running mid to high 12s with heads/cam/intake 302s. Unbelievable... and then you hear them give advice and give predictions on how fast cars should go. You need XYZ cam and ZYX heads, blah blah blah.

This XYZ cam you speak of, is it a new alphabet cam? And is ZYX heads a combo of the Z304 and gt40x and y heads?

i Think the recipe to any decent drag car starts from the ground up.

Good tires
Gears
Goot control arms
Good shocks
Lightweight

and all the supporting mods to take the abuse of running a car hard like good axles, good shifter to baby your t5, good clutch.. etc

Exactly, altho I'd say a lot of people build a motor and wonder why they aint fast. I mean a stock motor Is to much for the stock suspension if you ask me.
