Question

need help in decision making

I have a minor radiator leak and I'm debating on if I should buy stop leak or should just buy a new radiator because I don't trust that stop leak shit I have a feeling if I put it in its going to lock up something other than the radiator like my block or the headgasket what should I do

I had a very minor leak in mine also and just went ahead and put Stop Leak in it. It fixed the leak and I didnt have any other problems. Hope that helps!

i put stop leak in a 79 doge aspen once when i had a small leak, it didnt fix the leak but left a nice amount of gunk buildup in the resivior overflow and on the inside of my radiator cap and overflow outlet

Do not put in the stop leak if you can help it...yes it may stop the leak but it will also leave all that crap in your engine, radiator and overflow tank and all that is is a band-aid and not a true fix.
Also it wont last forever and you will just have to replace it down the road...do it right the first time!!!

Yeah put some stop leak in it if you don't ever plan on working on it again or keeping it very long.

Take the radiator to a radiator shop to fix it. Real simple.

get it fixed, or buy a new one. if u must use something i would use pepper over the stop leak. but idk if u wanna go any route like that on ur stang. i did this to a merc tracer fixed the hole for over a year and no problems.

As a mechanic at our shop we see cars come in all the time with stopped up heater cores and thermostats because of stop leak.
