metallic grinding/ squeaking sound 4rm my 86

i have a 86 5.0 lx wit a auto tranny and lately i hear this squeaky noise from the drivetrain idk specifically tranny, rearend etc but yea as days go by the louder it gets atacertain point my tranny started slip then i added some atf and the slipping stopped but the noise is still there so hat do u guys recommend? thanks

Is it a squeek that gets faster as you speed up and then disappears? Could be a U Joint seizing up.

koo thanks alot n that happens 2, the faster i go the louder n faster the noise is but the funny thing is that it happens when the tranny shifts 2 2nd sometimes but 4 sure on 3rd and 4th shifts

but the funny thing is its between 1100rpm to 2000rpm only also when i put in neutral it squeaks 2

Because it does it in neutral it makes me think U joint even more. You will have to start somewhere, U joints aren't that expensive if you do it your self.
