You know, you could still buy a regular replacement 2 core rad for like $100-130 and be done with it while still using your stock shroud, fan and fan clutch. Granted the stock setup is no fun and probably robs a little power but if it cooled your car since 1989, it can cool it again

A Griffin aluminum radiator and a Black Magic electric fan is all you need. No need for a shroud, the fan has one built in. I don't see what the problem is....

The Black Magic fan has a built in thermostat and will turn on automatically. You can also wire it to a switch so you can manually turn it on too.

your local autoparts store will have a temp switch its a probe you put through the fins on the radaitor and your fans will kick on at whatever temp u set it at but you have to watch the radiator water temp with a temp sensor of some kind (laser guns are great) and set it where u want mine is set at 150*

Yeah, sounds more economical. That griffin radiator is 500+ dollars it seems, thats a nice chunk of change.

Or

I got one of those slim fit 18' procomp fans on ebay for my 351w conversion. Just wired it to the stock fan wire harness and have been running it for a year with no problems. It only comes on when it gets hot like any other fan.

My one row alum radiator is a griffin , cost me $145 new.

Im getting a black magic from a guy , gently used $90 shipped.

I think its a good deal...... he says it was used for just a bit...

One thing ive notice everyone has a opinion and you can only take things on the internet with a grian of salt sometimes. We could talk about the same item on our cars and eveyone will have a different opinion on it from good to bad. There are so many different factors when it comes to determining parts for a cars that its just trial and error. I paid 25 for my procomp fan and its been working great. The only difference i have over someone that paid 150 for a fan is that i paid less. Works exactly the same. Just like when i did my 4cyl conversion. Some idiots say you need to replace the stock K member because its different. Well according to Ford they are the same peice. My buddy decided to get new MSD coil packs on his cobra because he read some reviews that they made huge differences and some said they didnt notice a thing. We he put them on and we didnt noticed one difference. He's even getting the same gas milage. You read on here some people hate mac headers and they are the worse things ever. Then a couple post later you'll read something about the same headers and how great they are and that person not having any troubles. It is nice to hear what other people have done which will give you great ideas but it all comes down to personal preference and what works with your car.
