Very true, but if im gonna spend some money anyways im gonna go with what get's best reviews or what i hear the best things about, granted i might get a pos that falls apart but thats always gonna be a possibility. Some times you take a chance on something cheap and it lasts but 9 times out of 10 its gonna take a shit on you. And the more experience you have with different things ( like cheap parts and reliable parts ) lasting or failing the more you will lean towards the "name brand" i would rather spend and extra 100$ then have to replace it and put my time into working on my car instead of driving it to save a lil bit of cash.

You have to take in consideration what your building your car for. Everyday drivers not much track time you can probably get away with cheaper parts since your not going to be beating the hell out of them. If your going to the track all the time and racing a lot then yeah i would buy the better stuff.

Daily drivers need a good cooling system to sit in traffic, good charging system for all your accessories, radio, all creature comforts, good brakes, good shocks to make it comfy, etc etc etc. I tend to make both my cars reliable, but that's just me
