The weight of your truck without you in it is pretty worthless from a performance stand point. Remember it can't go down the track without you.

140 lbs, what are you a jockey? (lol)

if you look hard enough...I have a FOX decal accross my back window as well....hmm....but I built my truck from the ground up in 96.
I am amazed you say it is as light at that....my stock 1965 suspension handles like a Cadillac.

I just got a 95 300I6 to swap in...going nostalgia.

well no that first weight i said up their was because the scale was 140lbs off. so i went up there today when they were open and got the weight with me in/and out of the truck. 3840lbs w/o me. but thats with a 400 big block, long bed, and a C6 tranny. it should get a little lighter when i got to s SB, 4 speed (or 5) and shortbed right?

originally i thought it weighed about 4000-4500 but i wasnt far off
haha Struck in 155lbs! lol

Silver... that is a really really nice truck man lol

found a 5.0 out of a 87 LX for 250 bucks, its sounds clean but ill know more when i go look at it.

i also thought about the 351 H.O. that the early lightnings had, any good/special things about those?

if i can get my hands on one, oh yea! but my dads giving me the 302 out of the 69 mustang we've got. it ran a 12.27 when the car wasnt finished but when it was all done it ran like a 12.97, 13.04... so not a bad small block to start out with

You will never be happy with a 302 cubic inch motor in that heavy of a truck..

A stroked windsor would be your best best for $ vs parts availibility vs power
