Gonna need a clutch soon
Well i am boosting my car soon and i will need a new clutch soon after the install cuz i have a king cobra clutch right now. I was wondering how many of ya are driving around with a six puck sprung disks? And how ya like driving it around? At the moment its my daily but hopefully not for long.

A super grabby clutch with a T5 is not a good idea. I'd rather have a little clutch slip than a pile of transmission parts. I'd stick with the King Cobra or a Centerforce DF or something along those lines.

I have a king cobra behind a tremec 3550. 12psi in the summer and it doesn't slip once. Not in first gear, second, or 3rd, and I make 438ftlbs. You'll be fine.
Whats your setup for boost going to be?

Well I just did a nice long 3rd gear pull, and my king cobra did just fine.

I vote king cobra if you like an oem feeling clutch..
If you dont mind it grabbing a little harder, go with a RAM HD. It's only 180 bucks and has held up behind my friends 11.5 nitrous 302, and I have one in my drag car.. it should make around 310~ whp and doesn't skip a beat. I had a king cobra in my 98 cobra and it was like butter.

here we go againI have had both King Cobra and Centerforce.... FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFK king cobra Centerforce has a much lighter pedal feel and is an amazing clutch for daily use or street use. The King Cobra now sits in the back of my house collecting rust.....its the only thing it was good for.

i've had cf dual friction clutchs on three of my mustangs and never had a problem. I have one in my turbo mustang now and a frpp cobra clutch in my daily driver that has pretty much all bolt on's possible except for a power adder and I have no problems. with any clutch setup im sure if your a tool and can't drive a manual car properly or adjust your clutch any clutch will die a short death |

Centerforce disk or Mcleod disk. Use that with a rpm pressure plate.
This will give you a softer hitting clutch with street driveability, but it will hold about 600-700 hp. Check out promotion powertrain.

spec is OK, their clutches are too grabby in my opinion and you better have one hell of a trans behind it.

Centerforce DF hands down the best clutch I have ever used.
