Foxbody C4?


I have a 89lx it has the stock AOD in it now and its goin out, I am building a new motor for it and want to replace the tranny as well, i have an extra AOD in good shape but I would like to put a C4 in, what yrs will bolt up and what things will i have to change for this to work? thanks for your help

basically you want a 1970+ c4 case fill there are lots of research you can google a 164 bell will let you keep your flex plate.but the 157 bell is smaller for header clearance.here is one link

yep, try to get a big bell, 26spline imput shaft with the stick in the case..

great thanks, so anything after 70 will be good? what will i all have to change just the flex?

The AOD 164 t flex will work with the large converter - but yes you need the 157t flex for the small bell. 70+ would be best to get the reliability.
