347 plans. thoughts

well my oil pump went im getting 0 oil pressure and i got a new daily driver. so my plans where to build a 351 that i got but its just the block so i figure that it would be cheaper and still a beast if i turned my 302 into a 347 stroker.

im wanting to know if my intake would be enough for this engine. or should i sell it and just go carb. im going to sell the e7 heads for sure and probable get trick flow and some other things.

+1 I would do some research, tfs stage 3 good bottom end tf twisted wedge, good intake/ carb etc, dont piece it together you wont like the results.

dont throw together a mismatched combo, like the others said it wont turn out as well as your stock bottom with a good set of heads and intakes. You can even go with gt40 parts on a stock bottom if you want to do a budget build. If you are going to go 347 plan on spending some money or plan on doing something else.

well it wont be a stock bottom if im going 347. and i aint going to just throw some pieces together. but i was wondering should i stay with my edelbrock rpm ll uper and lower intake just port it out and get a bigger throttle body. i seen one on a 347 on youtube. or should i just go carb

+1 I have 10 in mine already and thats without the machine work, without suspension, but it did include beefing up my trans. and a stall.....that was all new parts, and I spent a little more on the heads than I "had" to, but I am sure it will be worth it. I would get with Jim at FordStrokers.com 331-347-393-408-418-427 stroker kits and ford parts. for your rotating assembly and Jay Allen at Camshaft Innovations - Home for your cam. I would suggest a custom grind on a 347 especially since its not much more than a off the shelf cam.

You could probably buy Strucks cheaper than you could build one....Jim also has a credit/layaway plan....In this economy you can buy stuff already done up to the MAX a LOT cheaper than you can build yourself...just look around there are some steals out there....if I would have gone that route maybe mine would have been back together already LOL I am just waiting on the machine work and now debating on whether or not to go aftermarket or Mexican block so I can boost her later...
