Painting Gauge Needles..Need Some Advice
was wanting to paint my needles in my car, the car is 15 years old so the orange color has faded quite a bit to a dull ugly yellow color. Was driving my friends 03 GT earlier tonight, of course those needles light up red, anyway to paint my needles to light up red like that? i've heard of using model car paint and thinning it out works didn't know if anyone else had any experience with it.

I'd imagine a thin coat might work? Do the needles get hot?

I use a red paint marker and paint the whole needle in one stroke. Lights up red and looks good. Just dont put too much on.
