Power steering pump

Walk me through the process of changing my PS pump. I tried tonight and can't do it. Do i need to remove the pulley while still in the car or what? I guess I thought I needed to remove the whole ps/ac bracket but that didn't work..

Why couldn't you pull the bracket off? Take that face plate off, unhook the lines, and pull the thing off.

Lmao, nothing racists about that. The fact is most autozones are store ran by spanish people. With my experience as a shopper, there not the brightest people around. I mean the employees, not saying this about spanish people in general. Only white person is my buddy josh at the one up here, but even he throws me off.

I pulled the huge bracket off that holds up the PS pump and AC compressor. Went to slide out the PS pump off the huge bolt and the fan/shroud was in the way. It was getting dark so I threw all my tools in my car and said fuck it and had my mom pick me up lol

I haven't had my motor in peices for a while so forgive me. But I had the pump attached to it's own bracket getting kicked around in the garage for a while.

They have the pullers right there on the shelf behind them or you can rent/buy one yourself. Either way. Some ALT/PS pumps require a core anyway so just take your old one, buy the new one, have them swap the pully and turn in the old part, all done in one trip.
